| CLAIRE BUCHAR |
 |
As a kid, Claire was always strong in sports and dreamed of being a professional athlete. She imagined winning races and clothes-lined herself on her home made backyard finish line!
But it wasn't until about 20 years of age that she picked up a mountain bike. She placed 2nd at her first National race and was selected for the National Team she, at the time, didn't even know existed!
Claire has never looked back.
Based out of Whistler, Claire has been a member of the Canadian National Team for 8 consecutive years and has been to all corners of the globe racing and riding her bike. Now married to Aussie DH star, Chris Kovarik, she gets to spend some of the cold winter months on the tropical coast of Queensland. Working part time at Evolution and studying Graphic Design, Claire keeps herself busy with other interests such as art, yoga, snowboarding and just loving life and friends. Claire represents herself and her sport through her talent, personality, media, coaching and results.
